What is The Difference Between Spiral Silo and Bolted Silo?

2021-03-04

We have briefly introduced the spiral silo construction technology in the spiral silo construction process, a lot of customers may wonder what is the spiral silo bending technology, what makes it different from other steel silos, and what is the difference between spiral silo and bolted silo.

Spiral Silo Features

1. Integral Intensity and Long Life

While constructing, feed the coil sheet with certain width into the profiling station, making an confined encircling spiral protruding strip of 30-40mm in width around the silo body. The thickness of the strip is five times thicker than the basic coil sheet, strengthen the silo body in load-bearing capacity, also strengthen the silo in the structure.

2. Good Gas-tightness and Wide Application

The spiral folded edge is of five-layer spiral steel plates with seal gum embedded into spiral crimping seams which ensures excellent silo gas-tightness. The spiral folded silo can store granular, powder material, also meet the requirements of fumigation and deinsectization. Besides, it can also store liquid material, for two kinds of different material, the silo construction equipment can realize double layer bending.

3.Short Construction Cycle and Low Expenses

As the silo is manufactured full auto by the special equipment which runs at speed of 300m/h, the construction of the silo is very fast, and investment returns fast.

4. Economizing on Space and Light Weight

The silo height and diameter is optional with a wide range. The distance between two silos can be minimized to 500mm to make the most of available space and reduce area occupancy. Also the weight of the silo is only 1/6 times of the concrete silo with the same capacity, largely reduce the base structural load and cost.

Bolted Silo Features:

1.arge capacity

One single-silo capacity is up to 18,000 tons with comprehensive configurations to meet customers’ different requirements.

2.High accuracy

Complete advanced processing equipment and technology are introduced from USA to effectively ensure working accuracy and reduce damage to galvanized layer.

3.less residues

External installable stiffeners contribute to less grain residues on silo walls.

4.Detachable and movable

With standardized and modularized production, components and parts have a high standardization and good interchangeability, thus can be partially replaced or completely transferred.
