Instruction For The Steel Silo Design

Part one: Overview 
Take the 10000-50000M3 fly ash powder steel silo for example, this steel silo will be equipped with discharge system, feed system, etc. Detailed design requirement as following.

Part two: Feed system
1.Sending the fly ash powder into steel silo through pneumatic conveying systems, then setting four inlet hole on the steel silo wall 15-20m and setting one inlet hole on steel silo roof.
2.Setting cut-off valve on the powder conveying pipe connector, in order to the powder conveying system working smoothly and keep the powder back into conveying system.
3.The pipe and support connected with steel silo should has less turning and climbing, and the height should ensure the car go through.

Part three: Steel silo body system
The silo body includes silo roof and silo wall. 
1.Silo roof: the silo roof adopts space grids for mechanical structure and adopts 4mm steel plate as the waterproof structure. His structure with the features as following: light weight, low cost, rack is made by professional factory and installed by field assembly, large load, good quality.
2.Silo wall: the steel plate used for silo wall is the Q235B-Q345E plate, with the features high strength, low temperature, good performance, can meet different requirement for various area. Vertical and circular muscle adopts Q235B type beams and channels.

Part four: Silo foundation
Silo foundation adopts structure of wedge force pressurization, which is reinforced concrete structures, although upper part is weight, the height is low, and generally the height is smaller than diameter, so it is safe. Design of steel silo foundation is double penetration corridor, each corridor has three discharging outlet, and the foundation construction using impermeable concrete. At the same time, waterproof processing is being done, the filler material is filled between the foundation and fluidization device, and fill slope is designed according to the technological requirements. Filling Angle inside of steel silo foundation should be reasonable, and filling quantity should be reduced under on guarantee of discharge normal, in order to  increase the effective volume and effective reserves and low investment.

Part five: Discharge system of steel silo
Steel silo discharge system include fluidization and conveying system
1.Fluidization system is used to ensure fly ash powder discharge from steel silo smoothly. Which design adopts fluidized bar according to engineering practice with outstanding features: low cost, easy to maintain, long lifespan, low power consumption, etc. Which can ensure the 95% material will be discharged.
2.Conveying system is used to convey the fly ash powder inside steel silo into bulk warehouse, generally adopting roots blower.
